Default Purple spots all over leaves

I got a bunch of catts and vandas (or at least members of the respective alliances (no or misplaced tags)) from my aunt who couldn't take care of them. One of the catts I noticed was practically purple, with freckle-like spots, and shriveled-looking. I was originally just going to toss it, thinking it was already dead. But I noticed that a pseudobolb was coming in. So I just cut away all the dead roots and repotted it.
Now it's been a couple months and its status hasn't changed (see below pic). It doesn't seem dead, but it doesn't seem healthy (at least comparatively), and the new leaf hasn't popped out yet.
So is it sunburn, actual leaf color, or some disease? And if it is a disease, is it contagious (the other orchids haven't seemed to be affected so far) and can it be treated?

EDIT: Crap! I just noticed the 'Pests & Diseases' section. If this is in the wrong place, someone please move it.

The Cattleya is technically not sunburnt. Although it did receive quite a bit more light than it might normally be accustomed to. Those "freckles" are orchid freckles if you may. Just pigmentation gone crazy because of a bit of overexposure. Nothing to worry about, just reduce the amount of light or the duration of light it gets and it should be greener. And yeah, it's still alive.

Ya, KOG is right. Theres nothing wrong with the spots, it just means that the plant was exposed to high light. In fact, many Cattleya types that you find in the wild are red and purple like that. The red and purple spots are a sunscreen created by the plant to protect the cholorphyll from high light exposure. Sunburnt plants have yellow spots that quickly turn brown, then black. I would just place it in a high light environment and wait for it to send out a new growth. Some plants sulk after repotting and yours seems to be no exception. I would also take out some of the wood chips that are covering the rhizome. That can lead to rot. Good luck!
