Shirley-I also have one in a clay pot with coconut husk and it bloomed recently and is doing just fine. They require (at least here in So. Ga.) more water than one would think. If you see the pseudobulb wrinkling then it need more water. Nice firm, plump bulbs! Hang in there, and good luck w/yours.
