Does anyone here have a list of all the Rhyncolaelia digbyana cultivars? As long as this one has been used in the Hobby I would guess thee is more than the 15 or so I have seen in Print. Thanks.

OrchidWiz says there are 380 first generation offspring. 52 are awarded. Over 15,000 total progeny

Silken, I think syspila is referring to named cultivars of digbyana, but not its hybrids.

Syspila, a quick look at the AOS awards list has 8 awarded clones (cultivars), though I'm sure there are others from other countries and some that people have named without an award.

Isurus79, you are correct. I would just like to look at the named cultivars--seeing how much they differ from the wild R. digbyana. I noted several non-US cultivars/clones...I was just looking at these: i. e.Rhyncholaelia digbyana var. fimbripetala “Mrs. Chase’ AM/AOS

Mrs Chase is probably the most famous digbyana of them all, however I've never heard of a fimbripetala clone which would probably be peloric. I have seen a few peloric clones in recent days though.

Thanks folks...I just was looking up parentage and potential details on some of my collection. Winter is getting long and aside from mapping out this years garden I was revisiting the details of some of my orchids. I have the wild type R. digbyana and I wanted to see if there is really much difference with some of the named cultivars. As yet, it looks like Mrs. Chase is the most different though one clone: Doris Viola has a really well shaped, and "patterned" sepal/petal structure. I see Mrs Chase on Ebay, yet no-one seems to have Doris Viola...I am retired due to a Handicap and I end up with a lot of time on my hands!
