Default Spike?

Can one of you good folks tell mi if this is a spike or if i'm just too anxious? I have no idea what genus this is.

The picture is too fuzzy to tell whether that is a spike or the genus

True it's a fuzzy pic...But, based on my vague impression of it...Given the nature of the pseudobulbs, it looks to me like a new pbulb growing. Seems very similar to the new pbulb growth forming on my Encyclia cochleata.

But, that's just my guess from the pic.

I recently bought the camera and never bothered to learn to operate it properly. sorry.
I think this might be an enc. but im not sure, however it does no thave any pseudo's that started like that, they come up as seperate plant altogether, they don't grow on the parent.

I promise i'll start practising the close ups.

If nothing else, it's a nubbin
Give it time and you shall see what it evolves into
I can't give you an ID of this plant .. but once it blooms, we'll have a better idea
