As for the fertilizer, I use an organic formula specially developed for orchids by the people of the AOSP (São Paulo Orchid Society) one of our local Orchid Societies. Orchid growers here call it the 'Miraculous Fertilizer'. I must agree and say that it really is a good fertilizer. Of course, they don't reveal the know-how behind its manufacture...
Besides this, I use a regular formula 30-10-10-5-3 (NPKCalMag) that also contains 4% of sucrose and micronutrients for bare root plants like Vandas, those mounted, some Rogriguezias and also some Oncidium that I grow with roots free in the air.
