That's very nice, George. Do you know if Laelia lobata is one of the parents? I'm still waiting on my baby L. lobata to grow up. But every time I see something that looks even remotely like the pictures I've seen of lobata's flowers, I get pretty excited.

Really beautiful, pure white! That's the kind of orchid that makes you drool on the table and Cattleya intermedia is mostly responsible for this beauty!

Steve, this hybrid is formed mainly by Cattleya intermedia (50%) and Cattleya mossiae (22%). The others are minor components: Cattleyas gaskelliana, warneri and labiata. It has no Laelia in the background (Don, take a look at your plant's label; if it is identified as Lc, there's a little mistake there, the correct being only Cattleya ).
