OK, here is the update. I took this plant to our monthly meeting in June and it was given a cultural award by Carlos Fighetti, President of AOS

He noted that he had never seen this particular orchid with so many blooms nor had he seen one with such vibrant color. Of course several days later it started dropping all its flowers and within a week they were all gone

A week and a half ago I started seeing new growth

. The friend I got her from had several phone calls about how beautiful the plant was since I did not take all the credit for it at the meeting I put both our names on it. Today I went to visit her with the plant and we divided it into 3. 2 have 6 bulbs with 3 growths and 1 the main plant has 18 bulbs (not dividing it) and 1 or 2 growths. My friend kept one with 6 bulbs and I have the other 2. They will be repotted tomorrow and I will play the waiting game to see what happens.
I could not put it into a bigger pot since 2 (6 bulb) pieces were totally out of the pot growing down and then up. It needed repotting badly anyway. Supposedly this plant blooms a couple times a year. I can't wait. Will keep you posted. Sure has been fun. I can't wait till next time
