Default Epidendrum nocturnum

spike watch tease!!!

the plants been happy this year and has given up 5 spikes on the plant. 1 is about to come forth. Should be in bloom for some time as they are all in different stages of growth. My hope is the cold doesnt disrupt the process.

plants a few years old from Hausermanns. Was going to grow in orchidarium. Grew too fast.

thanks for looking again!!

this the last flower it had was in 2023 .going to be hard to top that one but the plant has almost tripled in size.

pretty easy to grow too IMO. We need to see more of them

The plant can be nice looking when well grown and the flower displayed can be just as wonderful. I love orchids that make everyone happy!~!

Epidendrum nocturnum Male
Default Face

It appears to me as a face with two little closed eyes,a small nose and a little yellow bow tie.

an angel is born with every flower that blooms.

It does have a scent. Kind of difficult to describe but It's a soft buttery lavender, very light and not overwhelming at all. Disappears real fast when you smell it so you go back for more kind of scent. I like it very much.
