A hybrid of the two Brazilian species Sophrontis coccinea and brevipedunculata, this plant produces large, striking red flowers on a miniature plant. It is currently in its first time flowering , and I anticipate that the flowers will improve in future bloomings.
That name is a cruel hoax. Maybe we could grow it in a wine cooler.
IDK. You may be able to get away with this one. I grow it close to the lights. It has went through so hot weather (NE Ohio Hot = 90f lol) on an enclosed porch. Nothing like when I grew coccinea in my GH. I don't know if I would even give them a try in my current growing space.
You’re absolutely right! Maybe if I find a nice coccinea, I’ll give them another shot. They weren’t too thrilled with the Maryland weather in August. I had to keep them close to the cool cell to keep them somewhat happy lol.
