C.labiata is the representative species of Cattleya orchid. But in the past few years, orchid lovers here have been fascinated by large-flowered hybrids. This type of original species is relatively difficult to obtain.

Very nice color and form on those flowers! I’m more of a species person myself but some of those hybrids can be breathtaking!

That's the species! In fact, its form is more true to the species than many line-bred labiatas where humans have worked hard to selectively breed for big, round flowers.

I meant I like species more than hybrids but hybrids can look nice as well. I’m aware it’s a species plant. Humans do like big flowers. I’ll have to say it twice since that colors so nice very nice form and color on those flowers! Sorry for the confusion! I was quite tired the day I wrote that.

Default Real thing

I prefer the original myself although I have to admit I haven’t developed my sense of taste quite yet, but I’m going to work on it
