Default Cattleya Rth Exotic Aurora

I hesitated to post these photos, as the flower is damaged, but it's actually the first orchid I've gotten to bloom - Maybe this should really be in the "Beginner" section ?

Anyway, the plant is one of an assorted group given to me by Melinda Dixon (ROBB), earlier this year.

I keep the orchids on a covered deck for the summer, and some dastardly, night-stalking creature started to chew on the bud, before it was open.
It was on a shelf at the edge of the deck, but when I saw the damage, I hung it up, before worse happened.

Anyway, I thought it was a beautiful color, and even damaged, I was quite proud of it, being my first bloom
