Nice! I got mine as a bag baby a long time ago and it's still one of my favorites. Wonderful fragrance too

Only mildly fragrant now, but I read they may get a little stronger with age. Smells like my mom's spice cabinet to me (sort of pumpkin pie spice), but my wife thinks a little vanilla

I think you're both right - it's a sweet spicy vanilla to me haha.

I had read this. Live only a couple hours from Arcadia, would like to go see the place someday. Also Motes, but that would have to be a couple days.

I had to go to Lowes in Panama City yesterday, and of course stopped to check out the orchids
There was a lone bag baby marked "Brassavola Hybrid", with a nice looking yellow flower pictured.
Since I didn't have a Brassavola, I said, why not?.
When I got home with it, and read the little tag in the pot, sure enough - Yellowbird !
I am now feeling much encouraged

I work at a Lowe's, and they always have the bag babies, but I don't always think to go out to the garden center and look. Probably just as well, l have limited space. Now and again I just can't resist tho. They had some small potted nodosas as well, but I resisted. Kinda regretting that now...

Almost all mericloned orchids you see will be offered again in the future. Keep your eyes open.

Yeah, I'll have to watch closer. The little B. Nodosas in pots were about 3 times the price of the bag babies, understandable, I suppose, as they were in bloom, and it was just before mother's day 🙂...
