Hybrid of Laelia Purpurata v. alba 'June Bride' AM/AOS and Ellias HCC/AOS Male
Default Hybrid of Laelia Purpurata v. alba 'June Bride' AM/AOS and Ellias HCC/AOS

I have this hybrid for five years. It has bloomed in the last two years. It always blooms around May 20th.

This is a hybrid of Laelia Purpurata v. alba 'June Bride' AM/AOS x Laelia Purpurata v. alba 'Ellias' HCC/AOS, bought from Carter and Holmes as a tiny plant.

The flowers are white with a light yellow in the center.

Lightly fragrant but not remarkable. Its assets are the color and the shape of the flowers.

I grow all my orchids outside in the backyard hanging from Bottlebrush trees in wooden or plastic baskets to help with water and air circulation.

The tiny ones I keep them in a small greenhouse until they are big enough for the Central Florida weather. Lately it has been very dry and hot, so watering and misting two or three times a week.

When there is a cold snap, I lower them to the ground and cover them with blankets and move some back to the greenhouse. I can't move Vandas since they have attached to the trees.

That's beautiful! (Just an aside, this would be a species since both parents are Laelia purpurata).
