Cattleya aclandiae
a few years ago
now doubled up after skippin a year. 1st one of these Ive had that havent tried to run down the street out the pot, yet..

its grown under 50% shade cloth outside. Aluminet particularly bec its keep some the heat off them.
watered when its dry. if its hot and it dries out everyday do water them. its in medium bark perlite and charcoal. Repotted once from SVO. The roots dont like being bothered. Others do well mounted.

Cattleya aclandiae 'Gulfglade' AM/AOS x 'Verde' AM/AOS
nice parents help
‘Gulfglade’ is still one the largest awarded flowers at 10.5 cm natural spread, and ‘Verde’ has the excellent shape with a very flat lip and petals.
if you are familiar with the scent, your imagination can almost pull it out of the air with just the picture. it's that memorable.
