Default Cattleya mendelii

This is a cattleya species that is relatively rarely cultivated. The plant is medium in size and the flowers have a strong fragrance.

Really lovely. I have several plants of this species and was intrigued that they're considered very easy to grow. Have you found them easy to grow/bloom?

Indeed, they are easy orchids to grow. Generally, flowering is also good. Of course, there are slight differences between individuals.

Good to know! I look forward to seeing mine bloom, as the richness in the lip seems really special.

I'm very jealous, pheli and Peter... Mine is blooming now, though I only acquired it recently from a friend who divided his; the color is great, the shape is terrible, lol...
Hopefully it improves over time and gets to be as cool looking as yours, ahahah!
