Cattleya lawre-mossiae 3n
Hey all, some of you may have got one of these from Fred last year. If you did id love to see yours! Mine are very similar to eachother.
Its Cattleya lawre-mossiae 3n
Interesting primary that is 2/3 mossiae and 1/3 lawrenciana (genetically speaking)
These are both first bloomings believe it or not. 8 on one and 7 on the other (two spikes each). They are large like mossiae (7.5 in if i spread them a little), but will hopefully have an increased flower count from lawrenciana. I got them as yearly mothers day presents. I give one to my mom and one to my wife and get them back whem the blooms fall. That was the idea anyways. They are a little early but thats ok!

those two are very nice. Mine bloomed last June (with one bloom) but it was no where close as nice as yours!

Mine saved up two bulbs with sheaths for blooming this spring. I think i prefer the once-a-year bloomers. They put on a big show! With the lawrenciana in the background im so curious to see how high the flower count can go on these. Imagine 8 per spike??
Jeff do you have a photo of yours? Id love to see it! Was it just first bloom funkiness?

It definitely was funky looking. The blooms were about 7 in wide. I have two growths with a sheath and a third one still in the middle of growing. Maybe it will bloom in June!

Wow I have NO idea how I missed this one on their list last year. Spectacular, love the high flower count and big blooms on a somewhat smaller plant.
