Monster Sized Cattleya mossiae Flower
Finally back on a schedule after ruining it's photoperiod and seasonality during a series of moves during my home renovation. Bloomed with 4 flowers on an absolutely beefy flower spike. Funny thing is that it made one giant flower and the rest are about what I've seen in the past. Nice to see a higher potential I can aspire to! It does seem to posses the ability to bloom twice a year depending on how many leads it produces in the early spring, vs summer produced leads which almost always will bloom during normal mossiae times.

Beautiful! Any idea of the parents on this one or who bred it?

It's a Christofferson creation. He divided and sold a ton of his selections and seedlings from a cross between Llamarada x Valerio a few years ago. I have seen people growing Valerio from Japan to Sunset Valley Orchids. It's a breeding line that seems to be from Venezuela
SVO has a picture of the parent:

Very pretty. I have the same cross and it's getting ready to bloom. Hopefully there will be some big ones! Congratulations on your wonderful flowers.
