C. Circle of Life
When this grex was first made (by Frank Fordyce), it only produced 50-60 seedlings, which is a very low count for a Cattleya. However, most of the plants bloomed with excellent flowers, so the grex has been remade and there is a huge number of awarded clones now.
Several years ago, I found a listing on Ebay, offering original divisions of 6 named clones from the original cross. We couldn't resist this opportunity, and all 6 are now growing very well in NJ.
I currently have one in bloom ('Finery' HCC/AOS). Note that it has a color break on the base of the left petal. This is NOT virus, but rather a characteristic of coccinea hybrids.
