Default Slow Growing Spike Catyclia

I had a catyclia burdekin honey shona for about 2 years. It was already a flowering size when I bought it and I can say is very vigorous grower. Last year, I saw some small sheath growing in the middle on some of matured bulbs. However, they all get aborted for some reason. This year, I can see small sheaths forming again but looks like they are aborting again. Its been 4 weeks and the sheaths are not growing. I wonder if this is normal to get very slow growth of spike? Could it be bec. I often move the pot around and placed it on direct sun every morning? I havent own any Cattleya or hybrid other than this.

Changing conditions can cause shock to plants. It also occurs to me that you might be letting them get too dry and optional activities like flowering might be aborted.
Only you know your culture though.

Also, how much light does it get, and for how many hours a day? Increasing light might help encouraging blooming.

its on a west facing window and is getting more than 6 hours bright filtered light. Its summer here and quite humid at the moment. I saw one seller from market place and his is in flower even what appears to be shrivelling 3 bulb plant. Mine has been vigorous grower with lots of new growth but no flower. I might be giving it too much love so I will put him on my naughty pile and wont give water in days, no fertiliser to see if it make any difference.

I think the problem might be that it gets too dry. Catts often abort buds if they're too dry.
