Cattleya Laura Newton var. Coerulea
Hey guys, it's been a while since I've shared some blooms (it's been a busy summer and I'm behind on everything), but I really liked this one and I haven't seen much of these out in the wild. Bought from Fred Clarke last year, this guy surprised me with an early bloom, it's only recently been potted up to 3.5" pot, and the whole planet, pot and all is only around 16", pretty compact by bifoliate standards in my experience.
It's got two things I like, Coerulea colors and spots, so I'm thinking it might be a keeper. I have two more of this cross that will likely bloom next year, so we'll see. There's good odds of at least one having flares or peloric petals, only time will tell.
