BLC 'Lester McDonald'
I just picked up this one at the orchid show in my town last weekend. All three buds were yet to open until today. I was excited. I thought you guys might like it since I did a search here for it and couldn't find anything.

lys, what a lovely Blc. went to the same show this past weekend. Your charmer caught my eye, unfortunately majority seen were way to big for my growing area. You pick a real charmer

Wow, love the color combo. Is it fragrant?
Wasn't someone looking for the id name on a green/pink type catt elsewhere on OB? Hmmmm, I think this is more vibrant colors then that.

Wow thanks everyone for the responses. I will definitely post some more pics when the blooms finish. What can I say- I just couldn't wait! I'd love all the info I can get. Kiki-do to answer your question: to be honest I have a cold right now so I can't smell anything! I'll keep you posted! Thanks again- you guys are super cool

Here is it's lineage
This Blc is now referred to as Rhynchosophrocattleya
because Brassavola digbyana is now known as Rhyncholaelia digbyana
I know, I know .. those darn taxomonical changes

That is one stunning bloom. I can't wait to see it fully opened. Is it a standard sized catt or more compact. I have space issues so won't put it on my list unless it's compact or smaller. Thanks

The grower told me this would get enormous over time. Sorry! But for me it's perfect since I have tons of space.
As for the blooms, this morning all three have opened, but they are all still looking like they need more time. Anyone ever experience blooms not fully opening? Maybe I'm just being impatient!
