Rhycholaelia digbyana 'Mrs. Chase' AM/AOS
love this species. wonderful intense lemony fragrance and that lip! I divided it this winter and both pieces bloomed at the same time. Awarded way back in 1970, original division.

Hi just picked up a selfed seedling of the cultivar from SVO's second 2023 cattleya release. SVO lists this cultivar as an alba.

Based on the photo it does seem to be an alba. Not much different, just no red inside the throat

The back of the petals won't be red on an alba

One of my favorite species as well! I also picked up a seedling of the SVO selfing along with some other goodies...I wonder if Fred's plant could be a 4N mutation from a batch of mericloning or if all divisions of this plant are already tetraploid.
