Beats 65 F and cloudy! Pleurothalids love it though. Can't please everyone...

Yep the days me of me wanting to try please every plant i find intereating are over. 65 is pretty much my minimum temp in the warm times. Thankfully these can also handle 50° as a winter min with no problems

'SVO Prince' 4n X 'Bill's Favorite Ladies'

This is the first of the three to open up. It has a single flower on a growth avout 10" tall. The flower doesnt have the best form on the first blooming but it is big! Its about 4.5 inches if it were to open a little more fully.

I also thought i might share something im just observing with these big heads of bifoliate flowers.

They all grow in a neat and orderly formation BUT they are all upside down. For me it was a head scratcher thinking about what was going to happen here. Its been fun to watch as the almost mature buds all flip over just before they open. They go from beat spiral to chaotic buds swinging everywhere (starting on the sunny side) and hopefully they settle back into a nice alignment by the time they open

The San Bar Giant is finally open and im pretty proud of its 30 flowers!

The second 3n tigrina has a narrow lip and an interesting open sheath over the column on both flowers. Showing off its fully saturated purple column. Curious if that will always be the case

I bet your growing area smells really great! Beautiful pics, plants, and I love seeing the differences in each clone. I'm interested to see the first seedling in future bloomings with that giant flat lip.
