Bud Blast
I have a Cattleya Fordyce Fantasy. First time blooming for me. Have had it for two years. Grown inside. All the buds have blasted. Possible reasons? See picture.

Possible causes of bud-blast:
Mites
Insufficient humidity
Insufficient water
Blast from hot air heater vent
Exposure to extreme cold
Ethylene gas, originating with dirty gas heater or ripening fruit
