Well, maybe a week or so after posting it actually started 2 new growths. I had used keiki paste on it. I don’t know if it was the paste or just coincidence, but hopefully it takes off now.

Hopefully so! I saw a mature one in bloom last year, and the fragance almost knocked me over. Absolutely stunning, and the blooms are individually large for the genus, too.

I actually didn’t even know they were fragrant. Hopefully I can get some blooms in the next year.

Most Encyclias pack a powerful fragrance! I remember it smelled strongly of rose and lily and had substantial wafting power several feet away.

I have an Encyclia too. Had it for 2 years and no flowering. Ready to add it to my compost.

Mine is in bloom right now and it is a special plant. The fragrance is very complex, like vanilla and roses. Flowers are beautiful.

I noticed mine throwing a nice fat new growth recently! I'm not sure if it'll bloom this year but it definitely could. I'd love to see and smell that fragrance again.
