So plants that REALLY need a solid dry in after each watering react negatively to my affection, this is one of those plants. the other is cattleya aclandiae. I have 3 pieces of C Theresa Ricci (25% nodosa x 75 % aclandiae) mounted on cork that I thought for sure were going to die and enjoy the lack of water and one of the three bloomed recently, the other two are alive and putting out new roots and growth,
In South Florida climate I had just put the aclandiae, and cernua,in bare baskets and then could still over watered and they dried fairly quickly without consequence. In North Fla I mount these plants to a piece tree fern and hang them up high.
