Re-igniting C. mossiae Thread
I found this thread after purchasing C. Carl Hausermann 'Lucy'. I "needed" a floofy white orchid that bloomed around May and planned on getting a C. mossiae from SBOE. They were out of stock. Then I fell in love with 'Lucy' and purchased her instead from Hausermanns. Now, thanks to your wonderful posts, I've learned how much mossiae 'Lucy' has in her, I can see I didn't venture far from my original plan. Also, I'm trying to give her C. mossiae culture, but sometimes my humidity falls to 40%. She has 4 sheaths and will bloom this year from being under the Hausermanns's care. Hopefully, I can get her to bloom again next year.

Good luck on the new purchase. I hope it does great for you. An update on mine, I re-potted it since the pics I posted at the start of this thread. The plant now spans 40" across and has 14 or 15 flowers this year. The star of my collection.

That's fabulous! Do you grow it by a window or something more advanced?

I have a small greenhouse. The humidity and better control over light has made a world of difference to my orchids.
