Wow, I guess I did not expect the family tree to be so extensive. Pretty cool.
Another question though. My thought was that the mossiae var. alba would have been used in this hybrid. Is the var. indicated in the linage? or just the species?

Hey, this thread put me over the top. I'm no longer a Jr Member. I'm also thinking I've hijacked my own thread since this has move on from "What's Blooming" but I'm learning a lot in the mean time.

Bill, that's what's so great about this place, having a great time and learning too. What more could you ask for? (Well, maybe more orchids)

You drew that chart? I thought you copied it from somewhere. Now I owe you a bigger thanks for taking the time.

You are very welcome
It's exciting to draw up charts as I don't stop until I find all the species .. it's like a treasure hunt

Ramon - the only thing I found on the RHS registry is
Rhynchosophrocattleya Taida Eagle Eye =
Rhynchosophrocattleya Meditation X Cattleya Madeleine Knowlton
Is that it?

Yes, that's exactly what I have found. I checked for some pics in the web, and they look very similar (I even found both with the same clonal name "All Victory"). So I think is it just a mistake that became very well stablished among vendors: it is normally Blc Eagle Eye, instead of Blc Taida Eagle Eye, what you find.
Blc Taida Eagle Eye http://blog.goo.ne.jp/nishiguchi4714/m/200508 scroll down until you find the picture...
Blc Eagle Eye http://www.fororchids.net/catalog/im...EagleEye00.jpg
anyway, it is one of the most beautiful alba Catts I've ever seen..

WOW
It surely is a beauty!
The first link came up as 403 Forbidden (Do not have permission to access)
Would you like the entire lineage of this hybrid?
