Cattleya Frans Hais - should I repot now?
The latest growth on my Frans Hais has matured and it looks to me like it’s big enough to bloom, so I’ve been hoping to see a spike form soon. But instead of a bloom it’s starting another growths I was planning to repot after it bloomed but now I’m thinking I might need to do it sooner. The bark is still ok I think but the pot itself is breaking down and this next growth will likely spill over the edge anyway. Or do I wait and let it get bigger and then it will bloom?
Don’t have much experience with Catts - so I don’t know if putting out a new growth means it won’t bloom this time?
Also if I repot, what are thoughts on cutting the rhizome above the bud in the center and rearrange in the new pot for more symmetrical growth?
Sorry - so many questions…
