Set back Cattleya. What to do?
Default Set back Cattleya. What to do?

Hi, everyone. Maybe some of you remember my wonderful RLC Dick Smith 'Paradise' that got a terrible bacterial infection on October last year. At the time, I did what I had to, the plant lost quite a few backbulbs and I chanced her pot and media then and there even though there were no roots growing. In those days it dehydrated quite a bit, and a lot of roots were damaged ( ). Ever since I have been watering it, not as often as my actively growing catts, but have been doing it. I've seen no change on it, I sometimes wonder if it has active roots. And it's been a long time with no growth or anything.

What could I do to stimulate growth? I'm afraid if I just wait it'll end up drying out completely. Recently I moved it to a quite warm room with very bright dappled light (it's next to a frosted glass window which receives sun from the morning to noon or a little before that). And I'm thinking of spraying it every now and then, which I know doesn't make a great difference but it can't hurt (I'm also ventilating the room to avoid fungi and bacteria from striking again).

Any input is greatly appreciated.

Stan
