Default C. warscewiczii 'Lows' FCC/RHS (1910)

A very old and extremely rare Cattleya warscewiczii. This is 'Lows' jungle collected at the turn of the last century and used extensively by Stuart Low and Co. to create the precursors to many of todays darkest cattleya hybrids. The color is hard to capture but the lip is a deep, deep velvet crystalline in the sunlight.

This is (1) absolutely jaw-dropping and (2) a great example of why this is my favorite labiate catt species. What can I do to convince you to self this plant, send seeds to Troy-Meyers (or any other flasking lab) so I can then sign up/reserve for a flask of these babies?! (Not kidding...)

The color combination is beautiful, I would say it is the orchid color as such.
