I adore Encyclias - simply beautiful! Thanks for sharing. I have a candollei with two spikes growing, and I'm looking forward to posting the blooms when they open.

Very nice! I have a couple phoenecias potted and they both grew vigorously the last couple years and spiked last summer but then aborted. Now one is not looking great. I think I’ll mount it. Do you spray water daily or?

Thanks!
I water it every two or three days when in growth. I have a phoenicea doing ok in bark, but it's finicky. Whenever I mount encyclias, they take off for me.

Very nice!
I had this on my wishlist, but took it off because I read they get too big to put in my orchidarium. How big is yours?
I'm also wondering if I could grow it outside of my tank if the humidity was a fairly consistent 50%?

Well the p-bulbs and leavers are about 6-7 inches tall but the spikes add another 15 inches.
The humidity in my area is generally between 40-60% and I water regularly. It takes a bit to establish on a mount or in a new environment.

Thanks for the info. Too big for the orchidarium, but it's going back on the list for another area
