It’s been a while since I posted and I hope everyone is doing well. I purchased this from H&R back in late 2017 as a tiny 3” tall seedling with basically zero growing experience under my belt when it came to Catts. I knew this was a tall and somewhat fussy species, so I figured it would be many, many years till I got some blooms. Lo an behold I got a flower this year on a 10” growth. Only one flower (which I promptly damaged as soon as I pulled it out of the greenhouse) but it’s huge and has a beautiful shape. Especially considering that it’s a first bloom on an immature plant. If I had the space I would get a dozen of these.

It’s crawling out of its 4” clay pot so I plan on just tossing the whole thing in a basket this year with some chunky bark rather than attempting to dislodge it from its pot.

Welcome back! It is a beauty! A trick I sometimes use with a young plant that is outgrowing the pot that it came in, I also put it into a basket with or without large bark... I'll break the pot if clay, cut down the side if plastic (carefully avoiding stuck-on roots). I don't remove the plant, I just open things up so that roots can escape into the basket that I put it into.

Congrats on the bloom. It's beautiful.
You have given me some encouragement showing your blooming.
I have the same plant, half the size of yours at purchase but I have a years worth of ownership, so I figure another 5 years and I might be posting photos of my own!

Like I mentioned on your Instagram post, this one looks great! I bet it will be even better on the next bloom.
