Bc. Yu Toung Star
I know I said no new orchids until the move, but I ran across this one while at my least favorite big box store. It is from Better Gro and is tagged Bc. Yu Toung Star 'No 2'. I have searched all the places I usually use, but no 'No 2' anywhere. Does anyone have any information or a different source than Orchid Roots? At this point, I have repotted into s/h. The roots were in good shape, if a little dry, but they greened up quickly with a soak, so we shall see.
Thanks in advance for any info you can give.

I found No. 1 on this site
Cattleya - Water Orchids
https://www.waterorchids.com/uploads...tar_1_orig.jpg
and No.2 here
Bc. Yu Toung Star 'No 2' – Pink Nodosa Type BS (3" pot) - Everything Orchids
Whether those are representative or not, who knows.

Interesting and highly variable cross. You shouldn't have to wait long.

One of the pictures I saw showed pink petals and seals with the darker pink lip.

You think #2 indicates a 4n mericlone of the same grex?

I think the "No. 2" is just a cultivar name.

Progress. Notice the small bud on the previous growth. Soon we should have flowers!

Is it normal for the petals to move toward the lip? (Excuse the picture quality)
