When leaves are dying at least some of the minerals, sugar, nutrients and water return to the parent plant. By cutting off leaves too early you prevent this.

My only concern is that the frontal yellow one has black spots on it. If it was infection related it would be good to remove to prevent spreading, right? Does it look infected to you?
