So much good stuff on the new, "secret" list!! I spent a lot of my lunch break looking it over today! I'll have to wait on getting more plants though.

It's great that he had many primary hybrid remakes this year. I tend to like the look of species and primary hybrids over the "perfected (?)" modern hybrids.

No that wouldn't count in my book either.
You didn't go looking for it, that Restrepia just presented itself and you had no alternative.
Thats forced acquisition!

I think you need to set up an 'Adopt an orchid' scheme! Adopter chooses (with your input) what they want you to grow and pays the the purchase price and small annual fee. You buy, grow, maintain and send them monthly updates. Adopter can enjoy vicariously something he doesn't have the conditions to grow, you get to grow lots more orchids!
win, win

I thought the leopoldii alba, warscewiczii albas, and Pacavia looked interesting.
Wish he'd offer a schroederae selfing of that plant he describes "This schroederae is still the largest flower with the widest petals that has been awarded," or a cross of that with another good schroederae.

You could write and ask him about that. A few years ago I suggested a remake of a very old novelty hybrid with better parents. He replied he had two excellent parents for that cross and would think about it.
