Looking at the links provided and the names on my previous photos, there is no doubt that the labels got reversed. The yellow eyes and more intense flares are Brian Wheeler 'Grandson' AM/AOS with the darker flowers and more intense color matching Betty Ford 'York'. This also fits with my observation "The flairs on the tips of the petals are hardly noticeable this year. They were much larger last year". The reason - last year this plant was Betty Ford.

Your C. Betty Ford's quite a beauty. I know it has a great scent, but even if it didn't, those dark colors would be more than enough reason to want to grow this hybrid. Congratulations on the outstanding flower display.
