Default Cattleya percivaliana 'Summit'

Since my tenant collects historical Cattleyas, he often trades me backbulb divisions of plants.

Here is the first blooming of C. percivaliana 'Summit' (mother division), which I have now grown to blooming size.

Totally agree. Beautiful. And - also - Edmund Hillary would be proud - if you know what I mean.

Excellent. I like this species quite a bit (even the ones that aren't considered high in quality) and this is a great representative. Congratulations on the flowers. It's great that you have someone who's willing to share back divisions of historically significant species.

Love this species despite the odd fragrance. It blooms twice a year for me reliably and has one of my favorite lips of the genus. The growth pattern is also more dense and desirable than other large unifoliate cattleya species.

Absolutely gorgeous!

I acquired a division of this species clone this summer. It will be a couple years, but I'm looking forward to it all the more.
