Coerulea season
Despite the coerulea color form not being high on my wish list (and not being really blue), a few have found their way into my greenhouse. Here
C. Big Ben 'Blue Mountain' HCC/AOS (Portia x mossiae) has 5 flowers on the first inflorescence, and two more to come. Flowers are 13.6 cm natural spread (5.3/8"). Reportedly it can produce up to 9 flowers on a single inflorescence.
C. (C.G. Roebling x Dupreana), seed grown plant from Cal-Orchids. Flowers are a solid 17.8 cm NS (7"), and look just like C.G. Roebling.
Photo distorts the size difference, as the blooming lead on the plant to the right is leaning towards the camera.
