Default Deformed Cattleya flower bud Lc. Tokyo Magic x Pot Circle of Love

Hello Haven't been around in some time.
My question is. I have Lc. Tokyo Magic x Pot. Circle of Love. ( SVO ) it's new this for me this spring. Anyways Tokyo has 3 buds on it, one of them is deformed , the other two look fine so far and just may bloom in a few days. ( loving it. )
is this a normal thing for the type of Cattleya ?
I've had Cattleyas in the past large standards never had any with deformed flowers. Thanks.

James ------ the pics are nice, but can't yet comment about the situation, as we probably don't have a very clear view of the bud of interest.

If the bud had simply opened up a bit during development, then that's fine. But even if the bud happens to be truly deformed, then it's ok too - as it won't mean that future buds will follow suit. Deformities occur in the animal world too.

It's a very young plant. First flowering? Orchids often struggle to open the first set or two of flowers.

Thanks for that extra photo James. Can see it clearly now. The nice thing is that there are 2 normal looking buds!

It almost looks like that deformed bud got munched. (Or it might have gotten trapped by the others, something that does sometimes happen) The other two look good, so I wouldn't worry, this is likely a one-off situation.

Beautiful flowers, but how do you get the pots to sit on the ceiling like that?
