Epidendrum porpax var. alba
For some reason I really like the foliage and structure of this plant. Seems to be one species I always manage to keep around in my collection. Have grown these mounted, and potted. Covers/spreads (over a mount) nicely once established. Also, an easy one to work with for making divisions.
Grown under artificial lighting in terrariums. I'm not even considered to be an "amateur" photographer. All I know how to do is push a button on an old point & shoot camera to take a picture. So on that note... I like the colors of the flowers on the regular form of
E. porpax much better. They are easier to see, and don't blend in as much (adding more contrast between flower & foliage). The 'alba' color also makes it hard (many times) for me to notice the flowers at all, unless I'm up close & personal.
