Beauty!
I must admit, when I first saw the post I read it as 'Cow Bells'.

Here's the link to the C. Bow Bells story on the Chadwick site. A fascinating piece of orchid history.

I bought this plant from Matthias Seelis of Shogun Hawaii Orchids nursery. Matthias is a well respected orchid grower and breeder, he has significant collection of originals that he uses for his breeding program, and I was lucky to snatch this one as soon as it was posted. And yes, I totally agree with your challenge, anyone can claim anything about their plants

Love this. I have a José Martí (Bow Bells 'Snowflake' x Bob Betts 'White Lightning') and I believe it was bred by Shogun. Can't wait to see it bloom—it's in sheath now.

I have an non-awarded remade Bow Bells clone. Bow Bells is truly a glorious plant. I do have to admit though, for the longest time I thought it was bow (as in the bow of a boat) bells rather than bow (as in ribbon) bells. The vendor I bought it from surely thought I was strange asking for it the wrong way. He didn’t even know what I wanted at first.

William, I hope you will share the blooms when she graces you with flowers. I have few plants from Shogun, love Matthias's sense of color and shape matching, the results have been spectacular so far.

I don't think Bow Bells can be remade, maybe a mericlone. In any case, they are all high quality and pretty much considered to be rewarded plants.

Thank you all for compliments, mean a lot to me to receive praise from experienced orchid collectors! I have one more bud, will post again once the last flower opens. The flowers developed a fragrance, for now very light, but sophisticated nevertheless. maybe in a few days it'll more distinct.
