Bummer...
Unfortunately, the buds got blasted. Perhaps the humidity was too low, as the weather has changed into autumn. Well, better luck next time!

That was nice to see the bud pics. Equally as nice as flower pics!

Shoot, that’s too bad! Did you change the position of the plant relative to its light source?

Another attempt.
Yet another spike appeared on the plant. Let's hope this time it will make it....

At last.
Well, there were two buds growing but one of them blasted during a cold snap a week ago; I was naturally terrified (not again!) but fortunately, one made it, and fully opened just at the Christmas Eve. :-)
Hopefully it would do better next year, as now it has begun to make branching-off growths from the backbulbs.

Lovely flower you got finally!
That red tin intrigued me. Is it filled with slow releasing fertilizer? Do you pour water over it when you water plants?

Yes it is filled with slow-releasing fertilizer (I use Multi-Cote brand for that) which automatically releases nutrients whenever I shower my plants with water. Whenever I want to flush the reservoir, I simply take out that basket and water it.
