Default C. Mareeba Tiger

Anyone else growing this? I think claw hammer, maybe? Had this about a year and it’s put on 3-4 new growths (very slow compared to some other catts I have). Cool plant for sure and this latest growth has a nice fat sheath coming in. Excited to see it bloom!

I thought yours was the tetraploid on both parents…seems Fred made a variety of similar crosses on this one with varying degrees of ploidiism. Is your plant bigger? The leopoldii parent on this one is 4N so hopefully some of that translates to the flower. Either way, the pics I’ve seen of the offspring have pretty huge thick flowers which I believe he describes as having “rock-hard” substance. Looking forward to your blooms as well!

Wow! Nice! That's what I need!

I wonder if that word - Mareeba - is linked to a town that's in our part of the state of Queensland. In particular in the northern part of Queensland.
