Default Eplc Greenbird

Flower color is a bit different for me this time -- last time it was greener. Think it got more light.

Paul that is wonderful! I really like the shape, and the lip is very nice.

Ok, so I got curious and had to find out what went into this hybrid .. I am unfamiliar with Eplc designation .. but it stands for Epilaeliocattleya = Cattleya x Epidendrum x Laelia
When I looked it up on the RHS site, it was referred to as a Sophleyclia (Spy.) = Cattleya Lindl. x Encyclia Hook. x Sophronitis Lindl.
and it's lineage -
Sophleyclia Greenbird = Sophrocattleya Pixie Gold X Encyclia cordigera

Sc Pixie Gold = Sophronitis crispata X Cattleya luteola

Encyclia cordigera - IOSPE PHOTOS

Sc. Pixie Gold
- Translated version of http://www.soajp.com/37saitama/Sophrocattleya_PixieGold2.htm

Sophronitis crispata - (aka Laelia crispata) IOSPE PHOTOS
Cattleya luteola - IOSPE PHOTOS

A winner in my book!
