Mine blooms every year though I suspect my culture leaves something to be desired as I have never had the big sprays I have seen on line. The lip is the most attractive part, IMO. It is fragrant -- and though I would not classify it as pleasantly fragrant, neither would I call it a "stench". Kind of a chemical sort of scent.
