Cattleya tenebrosa first bloom
Here is my delightful Cattleya tenebrosa I got from Krull-Smith blooming for the first time. I couldn't get a good angle that really does her justice. The petals are wide and flat and not reflexed, and the color is a deep, rich copper with a vibrant purple lip. The flower is almost 7 inches. It looks great in the picture, but she really is even more fantastic in person. I guess Krull-Smith has been line breeding these tenebrosas for some time now in search of the perfect tenebrosa, and I'd say they are making progress.
