Default Sophronitis cernua in bloom

My first time ever blooming a Sophronitis - in fact, I thought the spike was a new growth until I saw the bud two days ago.

Sure! The leaves on the right are a Meiracyllium trinasutum with cold damage from shipping, only the front 2 leaves are the Sophronitis:

It's mounted on Juniperus virginiana wood (from the property where I grew up), high up in my paludarium. It gets misted multiple times a day but dries rapidly, with longer misting sessions twice a week. The humidity is a little low that high up in the tank and I supplement a few plants with hand watering, but since I got this in March the roots have gone crazy, so I haven't been giving it extra water.

Looks so small but vigorous enough to show its stuff. Nice companions as well. TY

Beautiful little S. cernua. A wonderful little species, so much color on a small plant. Great flower-to-plant ratio.

Thanks, I thought it looked like a little torch. I just can’t get over the color, every time I pass my tank...

The contrast of the purple pollinia are part of what makes the flower glow. Love it!
