I definitely understand what you mean! I certainly have love for both the "wild" forms and for most (not all) of the line bred stuff. For example, I LOVE the shape (i.e. star shaped sepals and petals, tubular lip) of traditional purpurata and greatly dislike the line bred versions now (i.e. round sepals and petals, more open lip).
