Bl. Morning Glory H&R
I bought this at the WOC as a replacement for a plant that was sold to me as Morning Glory, but was actually Bc. Makai ?!
After about a week the petals faded out to white.

I already had to give away a second Makai as I already had one and certainly didn't need two!

Wow! Love the color. I think I might have this one myself. Not sure.

Nope, I don't. Maybe I had it once and it died. Can't keep track any more

Does this flower color always fade? I have one of these plants and when I bought it the flowers had a lot of color. This year it bloomed with 2 huge flowers but very white in color. Does high light or cold temps reduce the color? What is the usual size of these flowers?

Unfortunately, nodosa hybrids are great at increasing the growth rate, but also create flowers that tend to fade to white after a while. Im sure the flower you experienced was the normal size, as I dont notice much change in flower size from season to season from my plants. I still love 'em though!!

My flowers are very large for the size plant they came from! I remember seeing this flower before and noting that it was white with the purple lip, so I was surprised when it bloomed with colored petals, and thought Oh No! another one that I bought mis-labeled!! But once the petals faded to white it looked right. Not sure why they started out colored or if they usually do it or not, as this was the first time it has bloomed...
